With last week's surprising save, this week is a rematch between the remaining seven contestants. Unlike last week, though, two will be going home tomorrow night (thank goodness). The excitement begins in just over an hour. In the meantime, it might be a good idea to grab some grab before the show.

lil rounds: i think in the judge's eyes, this woman can do no right. didn't kara even say she had been hoping for chaka khan, then lil rounds delivers and she still gets called out for bad performance, unoriginality, and whatnot. personally, i thought she was okay, but her personality at this point is a little bitter and caustic. who could blame her though? i do hope this will be her last week as i'm tired of all the negativity surrounding everything she does.
kris: well, he certainly changed it up!! i know the judges and the crowd loved it, and he'll probably do very well this week. but in general, i don't like that kind of sound. it's kind of reggae-ish, which in general is not a genre i'm into. but i give props to kris for being original, and for letting us all forget that it was disco night! :)
danny: lol, re: your comment david! i am shocked that you did not mention his glasses this week, although we have seen this black pair before. anyways, this song is perhaps, too well known. (thank you gap ads!). as such, i thought it was actually a little karaoke, which sorta rhymes with "gokey" depending on how you pronounce it. ahem. i did notice he tried to change it up with some voice inflections. in general, i do like his voice, but not always his song choices, and we'll leave it at that.
allison: i agree with you, david. it wasn't good. the arrangement is probably not her fault, but it was pretty terrible. dreary, even. but i do like her enough that i hope she stays another week.
adam: i have never heard this song before, so i have no idea how much he changed it up, though knowing him, probably quite a bit. but i liked the way he looked and sang, as usual. btw, did you notice what a massive head (probably helped by the hair) he has compared to ryan's? i guess ryan is really, really petite! ha!
matt: not bad. he put a lot of energy into it and tried really hard, although i can't help but think that perhaps simon was right. he tried a little bit "too" hard, to the point where it felt over-the-top theater-like. that being said, i can think of a couple of other people who performed worse than him last night, so perhaps he'll live another week.
which brings us to.....
anoop dawg: this song (not his singing) was awful. i don't think anything could have saved it, and the fact that anoop just lacks the personality for this (and probably anything disco) made it a thousand times worse. he sang it okay, but it was definitely not memorable and kind of a bummer of a way to close the night.
definitely out: lil rounds
toss up between: matt and anoop, although i'm leaning towards anoop going home. in essence, we are in agreement. :)
I think if Lil doesn't get the boot, she should remove herself from the competition, if only to remove herself from such a hostile environment.
Great, now every time I see Danny, I'm going to think Karaoke Gokey. :P
I did notice Adam's gigantic head. Either he is twice the size of a normal human being, or Ryan is really a pygmy. :D
I think Matt will pull through another week, but only because of Anoop's complete lack of charisma, and, as you point out, lack of personality.
Let's see if our prediction of Anoop's and Lil's demise are true.
