I don't know if I'll get this posted in time, but if I type faster, I just may. Here we go...

allison: i thought she did kind of a bad job, actually, and i detected some "pitchy" notes here and there. but what do i know. i find it interesting that simon thought it was a hard song to sing because that is one of my karaoke songs of choice because of its easy major keys and mostly non-varying melody. oh well. perhaps i suck too (highly likely!) :p but yeah, quite the slam simon did on lil, considering she is the only other girl in the competition with whom to compare allison to. ouch.
anoop: good singing, but he honestly has zero charisma. i had read on some blog site that anoop has a lot more fans than we realize. will they stick with him this week? technically, he was good, but a little bit boring.
adam: awesome job, as usual. especially the power note at the end where he just went all crazy on the stage. it was definitely a very "adam" type of performance. it may not have been my favorite song, but that doesn't take away from what i thought was a stellar performance once again. he can do no wrong!!!
matt: wow. he did not stay on key. not even a little bit. it felt all over the place and i feel sorry for him and am nervous about his future in this competition. if i were the betting kinda gal, i'd throw a shiny nickel in the pot for matt being in the bottom 2 this week.
danny: haha. i noticed the lack of framage on his face too! it was too weird. almost distracting. i hate the song, but danny sang it well. i've always loved his voice, and i try not to think about his sad life when he performs (i'm kind of mad at the AI producers for hyping it up so much). all that aside, it was a solid performance, and i really hope that danny and adam will go head to head in the finals.
kris: this was the only song i had never heard before of the song selections last night. that said, i don't know what to make of it. i am actually really confused as to why he chose something obscure when there are literally thousands of other songs he could have chosen from decades of movie soundtracks. america will hate it or love it. there is no middle ground as i see it. i think i'm going to go with hate though. :(
lil: again, horrible song choice. i find it interesting that week after week, lil rounds chooses to sing middle-aged "white" lady songs. perhaps, she really isn't the r&b artist simon had projected her to be? i admit, i too thought that maybe she had some rihanna or blige in her. (simon's fault) but the more she sings, the more i realize that isn't who she is. it's not a bad thing. it's just not her. and i think it's actually unfair of simon to project his expectations onto her based on what he perceives as her "style" when she never pretended any such thing. and now he's sorely disappointed about that. for this alone, i hope lil gets to stay in the competition a little longer, even though, let's face it. she's probably not going to win.

bottom 2 (in my opinion): matt and kris. although that probably won't happen as i suspect america splits their votes between the two, so it's most likely one or the other (matt). and it's a toss up whether lil or anoop stands beside him.
the question is, will the judges save any of them? i suspect they may try to wait until the "final 5" to use their last possible save. makes for better tv, no? ;)

I wouldn't be surprised if Anoop has a stealth fan base. I'm sure he's just dreamy in somebody's eyes. I don't see it, but then again, I don't see the appeal of Zac Efron and there's an entire population gaga over him. :P
Despite the judges attempt to proclaim other contestants strong contenders or dark horses, I think you're going to get your showdown between Adam and Danny, which would be fine by me.
I think you're right that tonight will find Matt and Kris in the bottom two. They're fighting for the same votes and neither did anything to help themselves this week. Matt had a weak showing and Kris chose an obscure song in what I believe was some bizarre attempt to obtain indie cred.
As for Lil, I would be okay if she went home this week, if only to save my ears from hearing her sing another poorly chosen song. I also think it would be better for her, career-wise, to leave the show, if only to escape the style identity crisis the judges (especially Simon) have yoked her with.
And I have a feeling the judges will save their Save at least one more week, unless Adam or Danny end up getting the boot. I don't think there's another contestant in the field they'd unanimously choose to save.

haha! did i not say matt, lil and anoop??? yes!!! although i was wrong about the save. it was obvious that it was 3 against 1 (simon) there. but now that i think about it, every week, paula and kara want to save EVERYBODY! i cannot see lil doing disco at all. without having heard any songs, i'm gonna say anoop and lil are in trouble next week.
and wow. for once, they actually didn't go over last night. i think that was the most shocking event of all last night.

You were spot on with your predictions. (We'll let the save part slide since no one could have predicted that.) I noticed it, too, that Paula and Kara were gung-ho every week to save whoever happened to be in danger of getting the boot. I'm surprised them managed to pull it off this week, though I suspect it wasn't 3 against 1, but more like 3 against 3 (Simon, Simon's ego, and Simon's ego's ego).
Next week's disco theme should be interesting, and by "interesting", I mean dismal. I can't picture any of the contestants pulling it off well, with the exception of Adam. Anoop and Lil will both be in danger, definitely. I'm just sad that one or the other didn't get the boot this week.
And, yes, they managed to finish the show on time last night, an accomplishment I'm sure they'll strive never to repeat again this season. :P

ahh, finally. some explanation for the save. (source: ONTD).
"In the interview Simon Cowell talks about how he didn't want to save Anoop next week so he saved Matt this week to get it over with. He also says Matt doesn't have a shot at winning and neither does Lil and they will all do badly next week except for his lover, Adam Lambert. He also refuses to call Lil her name and refers to her as "Little"..classy."
