Orange

| | Comments (6)

This week's Theme Thursday challenge is Orange. A few weeks ago, I needed to clear my head, so I took a fifteen-minute walk around a nearby neighborhood and came across this house. The orange and blue shades are much more vibrant in person. Bland white, cream and tan houses dominated the rest of block. Thank goodness for individuality.

i don't like those colors together. There's a house in my neighborhood that's bright yellow and green. Gawd it's soooo loud. What about a blue garage door? Yuck!! I like bland white, cream and tan!!

Orange and blue. If I recall correctly those are complementary colors, the pinnacle of vibrancy. It is good that some people want to stand out. Of course it is also good there are some people who don't want to standout.

I like orange and blue cuz I'm a Mets fan (although they're now black, orange, and blue).

But this looks like a Denver Broncos fan or something.

Ann: I like the color combination, but not on a house. My neighborhood association would never allow them to paint it these or any other loud colors.

spunwithtears: I agree, the freedom to choose to conform or not is good. Requiring everybody to paint their places orange and blue might be a little too vibrant. :P

a l: It sounds like the owners prefer citrus colors. Next should be something lime. Thanks. :)

fling93: I'm partial to the Mets, so my first guess was this house belonged to a Mets fan, but now I think they just like orange... a lot. :P

Well, we might not see too many more houses like this, what with Homeowners Associations all over the place crushing individuality like a bug. :(
